Chiang Mai is somewhat of a tourist hub in northern Thailand - so internet access is not a problem. Everywhere has it, ranging from special internet cafe's to small hostels. They are all set up to cater for the international tourist so Skype will be already installed in almost every location. I've never had a problem dialing family or friends from Chiang Mai. My only suggestion is to shop around for the best rate :) about 6 years ago

Most internet cafes and hotels in Chiang Mai (http://www.chiang-mai-travel.com) will have what you want. Internet in Thailand is generally cheap and in most hotels free. almost 6 years ago
