I will be on a short stop-over in Dubai in March 2012, and am looking for some inexpensive sights or activities to keep me occupied.
Alternatively, suggestions for cool things to photograph wwould be welcomed!
Depends on what you mean by 'inexpensive'. You can visit the museum, old souk, cross the Deira creek using abra (traditional boat), drive around all other emirates like Sharjah, Ras-Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi, Umm al Quaim (rented cars and fuel are cheap), go dune bashing, lose yourself in the vast malls of Dubai. For the very active type - go karting, skiing etc. There are several clubs as well almost 7 years ago
Jumeriah Beach is free and open to the public, as are the shopping malls.
Something cheap to do is jump on an abra (small boat) and cruise up and down the creek.
The metro is cheap to use and would let you see a lot of Dubai.
Be careful what you photograph - make sure that it is only tourist attractions and not some military/government building as this is highly illegal. almost 7 years ago
Download the free app Dubai Glimpses ...... It will give you a fair enough idea about the city and how to reach places too... over 6 years agoAnswered by Dubai Glimpses via WorldNomads.com
