In dubai there are a lot of souks, we want to visit the souks, but we don't have enough time to visit them all. Which souks are definitely worth to visit?

What are you looking to buy?

The original gold souk is down near the creek, but its tacky but worth a visit just to see what people have in their shops - there are much better places to get gold. This one is located near/in the Fish Market.

If you want jewellry (diamonds, gold, stones etc) then I would suggest going to the Dubai Gold and Diamond Park on Sheikh Zayed Road - great selection, good prices etc.

Dubai Mall has everything you need, but is new, so perhaps not quite the atmosphere you are after, but its definitely a one-stop shop, so if you are short on time this might be the place for you. over 5 years ago

The Old Souk is located in Deira and primarilly consists of the Spice Souk and the Old Gold Souk. I dont quite agree with Sam who calls it tacky---becoz that is the real Dubai-the traditional old trading town. If you only want glitz and want to miss out the`real shopping experience head for the air conditioned Malls where bargains are never had as rents and operating costs are much higher. If u want bargains, head for the old Gold Souk. If glamour and glitz is what you want, head for the swanky Dubai Mall or the Mall of the Emirates. over 5 years ago
