Want to visit UK next summer for month. Family of 5...kids 9, 5, and 5.

Need recommendation for good city or village. Want to enroll kids in some sort of soccer or tennis class while we are there. Also would like to rent a nice house or apartment.

London certainly has a lot for families but summer is not the best time to visit.

I would look at renting a house somewhere on the coast - Suffolk, Wales,Norfolk, Devon, Cornwall. This would give you the option of having the beach/sea which is free and has the ability to amuse all ages at all times. Or alternatively, head to the Peak District.

For football and tennis clubs over the summer, you may struggle a bit unless you are near a bigger leisure centre.

What about the Brighton area. It's on the coast, near London; train ride around 45 mins into the city for museums and galleries etc. There's also lots to do in Brighton in terms of sports, walking etc. try holiday-rentals.co.uk for accommodation. over 3 years ago
