We are going to the event and want some things to do on the Sunday after.
To get a "feel" for London, pay to go on one of the red double-decker tour buses which allows you to hop on and off if a particular location appeals to you. It's a fabulous way to get around London. Another choice you might consider is Kensington Palace tour or the Buckingham Palace tour of the mews. Both are interesting and well worth a visit. Many of the pubs have closed or are closing but it's always fun to pop into a pub for a lager. A stop at the famous Savoy Hotel puts you in yet another wonderful neighborhood. There is also the Tate Modern Museum and close by--the Anchor Pub where Shakespeare used to drink. The Tower of London where the crown jewels are kept is also a must see and do. There is NEVER a shortage of things to do in London. It IS a wonderful city and whatever direction you chose to go in, you will find things to see and do. Have a wonderful time and enjoy your trip. I know you will. almost 8 years ago
