New York accommodation over Christmas 2010-2011...where's a nice place that will leave me enough money to buy food.
Looking for a nice place to stay for about 2 weeks from 20th December in New York.
I would like to stay somewhere in a good location, with private bath and toilet. I know NYC is expensive but I've always wanted to do Christmas and New Years there and want it to be good.
Why not spend a couple of days in between in one of the other remarkable nearby cities? Boston is great, and Philadelphia is a fun city, that's less expensive and filled with great museums, night spots, great restaurants. about 7 years agoAnswered by judith harris via Travellr.com
Check out Brooklyn's neighborhoods of Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, Williamsburg. All near Manhattan and certainly an easy cab rode. park Slope is nice, but a bit further in Brooklyn.
A 10-minute Path train ride from Christopher street station (west village) is Hoboken, NJ. Cheap, accessible and trains run most of the night, if not all.
Craigslist will also post classifieds from folks who want to sublet while they are on their vacations during that time. about 7 years ago
