Hi There,

Is there any protection against physical and material damage of me for another person like third party insurance? I had an insurance in germany which protects me against any damage that I cause against any other human being or material thing? If I walk over a street and a car comes, has to evage in another direction and therefore hits another person caused of my fault...who protects me against that kind of accident? Am I covered anyhow? Because i am travelling, my german one is cancelled...It is the most important insurance i have to have it. Please check my insurance package and tell me if i can top it up somehow! Thx a lot Joe

Hi Johannes, Kellie here from WorldNomads.com.
There's a 'Personal Liability' benefit included in your current policy (for permanent residents of Germany). This benefit provides cover for legal liability for any physical injury or property damage you negligently cause to a third party (under the existing laws of the country in which such injury or damage occurs). Also, there's cover for defence costs for the legal liability for any physical injury or property damage you negligently cause to a third party (where agreed by the insurer). You'll find all the information on Personal Liability cover, including the exclusions, in the policy wording in Section 24
(login to your membership page to access the policy wording) .If you have any specific insurance questions, please ask our service team directly who will be more than happy to help: https://www.worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx (we try to keep our Ask a Nomad service for general travel questions that our travel community can answer.)
