    Hi Kaisa,

I work at the Hilton Los Angeles / Universal City hotel next to Universal Studios Hollywood. It is fairly well located for Los Angeles and has a metro stop within walking distance. When are you traveling?

To look at packages, specials and pricing, please visit http://www.hiltonuniversal.com. Also please feel free to contact me with additional questions at zzertuche@hiltonuniversal.com.

I wish you a wonderful and pleasant trip to Los Angeles. almost 6 years ago

A lot depends on what area of Los Angeles you wish to use as a base. Do you want to be close to the ocean (though it's too cool for swimming this time of year)? If so, I'd suggest exploring hotels in Santa Monica (if you are comfortable with bidding on Priceline, that might have the best price opportunities - go to biddingfortravel.com first to psych out the hotels), otherwise check prices on Kayak and other search engine consolidators). Or, perhaps you'd prefer to be in Hollywood. There are a number of "moderate" choices. almost 6 years ago

Hotel Carmel in Santa Monica is an excellent value. Close to the beach too and short ride to Venice beach. A good site to find hotels under $100 is BestHotelsUnder100.com. They have a Santa Monica page with Hotel Carmel and some other suggestions:
