ZION NATIONAL PARK. Hands down - absolutely beautiful and lots of things to do. I also enjoyed Bryce Canon. And, if you're into winter sports be sure to check out the many ski resorts Utah has to offer! Enjoy! over 5 years ago

Agree with those who suggested Zion, Bryce and Arches. Fantastic. Also for more off the beaten path trails, try Snow Canyon Mountain St. Park near St. George, and Kodachrome St. Park near Tropic. Latter is not far from Bryce. Hidden Pinyon trail at Snow Canyon is short and really beautiful. Moab is a great little town and nice place to explore Arches and and Canyonlands Nat'l Parks, tho not real fancy hotels.
October is great in southern Utah. Not sure about summer. Maybe too hot. over 5 years ago
