    Not sure when you are going so hopefully these tips are still relevant. I always check out foodandwine.com to get a view of the latest places to check out and the New York Times has a series of "36 hours in..." I am sure they have done one for New Orleans. The third I do is check out the reservation listings for a given city on Opentable.com. They organize some restaurants by most popular and that also can be a proxy for what is hot and 'don;t moss".

    I'm a Louisiana native and every time I go I always find new things in the French Quarter. Get benets at Du Monde, splurge on the French Market and as for restaurants Margaritaville and The House of Blues are a must in New Orleans. All things listed have no age restriction. over 5 years ago
