I am thinking about traveling to HCMC in early 2014 instead of Phuket thailand (for the night life and good food obviously) since I have never been to vietnam and heard about Pham Ngu Lao Street as the best street for night life and street food. Am I making a right decision?
Yes Pham Ngu Lao would be good, since it's central and you can just walk around to see the city.
