In next month I have a trip to Sa Pa with my friends. But we don't know how to catch car from Hanoi. And we also want some suggestion about things to do or things to go in Sa Pa
By night train. 7 months agoAnswered by Ana via WorldNomads.com
Do the overnight trek though the rice terraces. It in Incredible!!! Bring lots of small change too- the village people who will guide you through the trek will sell you stuff at the end of it (headbands and bracelets), but throughout the 2 day trek you end up switching from 5 different villages. So make sure to bring enough for all (hence small change!) Enjoy!! 7 months agoAnswered by Samantha Ruberto via WorldNomads.com
You better catch car since now we have highway, it save time and energy. But if you want to try, train is also nice experience, after that you also have to take another bus to sapa.
Next month here will be our holiday, be sure to booking your car and hotel asap :P 7 months agoAnswered by Than via WorldNomads.com
. By train.
Traveling by train takes about 8-9 hours and the train only stops in Lao Cai, the province which Sapa belongs to. It then takes another hour to get to Sapa from Lao Cai station.
* Train often departs at between 8:00pm and 10:00pm, and you can catch a good sleep before getting woked up by the beautiful mountain sceneray at dawn.
* There are also day trains which are not as comfortable as night train. It also takes longer time to travel as it makes more stops.
* Ticket for night train is $35-180/person/way (the most expensive one is Victoria express which is exclusively for in-house guests)
* Ticket for day train is $10-20/person/way
There are daily bus departing Hanoi at 6:30am or 10:00pm. One way trip takes betwen 6 and 7:00 hours.
Traveling by bus is both fast and it goes direct to Sapa without stopping in Lao Cai as by train. If you take a private car ride, you can even reach Sapa in 5 hours. More information about bus schedules and booking can be found here: https://www.hanoisapatrain.com/sapa-bus.html 7 months ago
